Regarding the teaching of Vatican II, see here another wrong notion. This book repeatedly states that the Council deliberately refused to preserve the traditional hierarchy of primary and secondary purposes of marriage, opening "the Church to a new and deeper understanding of the meaning and value of conjugal love" (p. 96ss). On the contrary, the commission said the Modi explicitly in response to a proposal submitted by many of the Fathers who called hierarchical distinction is put in the text of No.. 48, that "in a pastoral text that seeks to enter into dialogue with the world, the legal elements are not necessary [...] However, the primary importance of procreation and education is shown at least a dozen times in the text "(cf. n. 48 and 50).
